If you compose, write lyrics or arrange music and your works are either performed or reproduced, joining Teosto is a viable option for you. As a member, you can concentrate on making music and your creative work while we take care of your rights.

Teosto is a copyright organization of music authors and publishers, and represents some 23,000 Finnish and approximately two million foreign music authors and publishers.

TEOSTO SERVES MUSIC MAKERS

We grant licenses for performing and reproducing music on your behalf, and gather information on the use of your works. It is our job to see to it that you receive royalties for the use of your works on radio, TV, concerts and other live music events, and for works used as background music. Via our international network you will also be compensated if your works are performed abroad.

In the last years, almost 90 per cent of collected performing right revenue have been distributed to music authors and publishers, and used for promoting creative Finnish music. Teosto's operating costs are covered with the remainder.
