Are you a DJ or an artist? Do you play in a band or in an orchestra?
If you perform songs created by others, you should nevertheless submit performance notifications on your live performances. Many composers and lyricists do not perform their works at all, meaning that their performing rights royalties are dependent on the performance information reported by other people.
However, as a performer you do not have to pay Teosto anything; instead, the event organiser will be responsible for the performing rights royalties.
What is reported in performance notifications?
List your own works and the cover songs you have performed, in the performance notification. Performance notification indicate:
- The date of performance.
- Names of the performance venue and event organiser.
- Name of the performer.
- Performed works and durations.
- Authors of these works.
You can conveniently report both your domestic and international concerts by using the Keikkamobiili App or Teosto online service. You can submit performance notifications after your performances. However, you must submit them according to the schedule given on our website.
