CEO of Teosto to change

The CEO of Teosto, Katri Sipilä, will leave her position. The decision was made by Teosto’s Board of Directors. Deputy CEO Risto Salminen has been appointed as the acting CEO.

Sipilä started her career in Teosto in 1988, and she served in the position of CEO for almost 17 years. During her term, Teosto has undergone challenges risen from digitalization and performed well under profound changes in the operational environment.

‘It has been great to promote and Finnish music and work at the forefront of digitalization in an international operational environment. I want to thank all of my skilled and devoted colleagues and our partners for the rewarding years together. I wish Teosto and the Finnish music industry all the best also in the future,’ Katri Sipilä says.

The Chairman of Teosto thanks Sipilä for leading Teosto through the changing operational environment.

‘We want to thank Katri for the past years and her devoted service in securing the rights of Finnish music industry professionals. Katri has left her mark in the 90-year-old Teosto. Our Management Team has been tuned to perfection and both our performance and our economic standing are excellent. Teosto is ready for its next steps in the turbulent operational environment,’ Chairman of Teosto, Mr Kim Kuusi says.

Deputy CEO Risto Salminen will take on the role of acting CEO. Teosto’s Board of Directors will inform on the recruiting process of a new CEO on a later date.
