Teosto participates in two programmes at Slush Music. A talk to be given in cooperation with Nelonen Media deals with the role of on-demand services for tomorrow’s radio and the licensing of music content for radio’s online services.

In addition, Turo Pekari (Senior Advisor, Innovation and Discovery, Teosto) attends a discussion hosted by Allen Bargfrede on the music industry’s new opportunities brought about by blockchain technology.

“By becoming the main partner in Slush Music, we aim to highlight themes that are important and topical to music makers and, of course, to identify new revenue opportunities and income streams in the rapidly-changing music industry,” says Katri Sipilä, CEO at Teosto. “In addition, Slush Music is a broker of information and provides a discussion platform that offers us the opportunity to consolidate and deepen existing customer relations and partnerships with key players in the music industry, and with domestic startups that provide services in this field,” Sipilä continues.

The programme on the first day of Slush Music takes place at the Cable Factory and, on the second day, the attendees will blend in with the rest of the Slush crowd at Messukeskus, where they will find up to 15,000 people to connect with. Among the announced speakers are Chris Barton, founder of Shazam, Allen Bargfrede, founder and CEO of Rethink Music, Benji Rogers, founder of PledgeMusic, Julie Knibbe, Head of Product Strategy at Deezer, and Samu Haber, Lead Vocalist of Sunrise Avenue and Manager of Comusic Ltd.
