Teosto strengthens its international connections with ICMP and IMPF

19.11.2025

Teosto has joined two international music publishing organizations – ICMP (International Confederation of Music Publishers) and IMPF (Independent Music Publishers International Forum) – as a supporting member. These memberships strengthen Teosto’s international connections and open up new opportunities for collaboration and exchange of knowledge with key players in the global music industry.

ICMP is the worldwide umbrella organization for music publishers, representing both major and independent publishers in more than 70 countries. The organization promotes the rights of music publishers and creators, the value of copyright, and the diversity of music on a global scale.

IMPF brings together independent music publishers from around the world. It serves as a platform for information sharing, collaboration, and advocacy, with the aim of exchanging knowledge and best practices and strengthening the position of publishers within the music industry ecosystem.

Supporting memberships – ICMP’s CMO Friends program and IMPF’s Friends & Supporters – are for organizations that are not publishers themselves but wish to support the goals of these associations and participate in international cooperation to advance the music sector.

Through this collaboration, Teosto aims to strengthen the position of Finnish music creators and publishers globally, build international collaboration, and promote the value of copyright worldwide.

“Music publishers play an important role in the music ecosystem – they advocate for authors’ rights and the value of copyright. At Teosto, we are pleased to join these broad international networks, which provide an opportunity for exchanging views, enhancing collaboration with the global publishing community, and working together for a more sustainable future for music,” says Risto Salminen, CEO of Teosto.
