Domestic authors and publishers receive 1.2 million euros

On October 25, Teosto paid performing right royalties to Finnish composers, lyric writers, arrangers and music publishers in the amount of 1.2 million euros.
About 1 million euros consisted of royalties collected for performances of Finnish music abroad. For the most part, these performances took place in 2011. The largest amounts were collected from Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Great Britain and Italy.
Teosto also distributed some 80,000 euros to Finnish rightholders for the online use of their works. The sum consists mainly of downloads from Internet stores.

The next distribution will be paid in December.
